This new feature allows a church to scan check images directly into TouchPoint, using the TouchPoint Check Scan application, and then download the X9 file to make a deposit directly to your bank account.
Two benefits of using this new feature:
- Someone (a volunteer, for example) can scan and enter gifts into your system, and do everything to prepare the bank deposit, without needing access to your church’s bank account. A finance user can later, at their convenience, download the file to make the deposit with your bank.
- Using this feature will allow you to store the check images on the individual giving records for quick and easy reference.
This new feature will require additional setup in order for the X9 file to work with your specific bank. We are working with our beta churches to streamline this setup in order to keep the setup costs as low as possible.
