In this webinar, we partnered with Pushpay to unpack the top digital giving strategies and tools you need to know about in 2020 and beyond.
We now have a simplified managed (recurring) giving page! To avoid confusion for donors, there are now four simple schedule options:
- Twice a Month
- Every 2 Weeks
If you currently have managed givers with some other schedule, that’s no problem—they can continue to use their existing giving schedule. Any new or modified schedules will use the options above. We hope donors find this easier to use.
Two enhancements to the managed giving page are also now available. First, you can specify what funds will be highlighted on the page. By default, no funds will be highlighted but all funds with a sort order will be available in a drop-down list. If you desire to have certain funds displayed as soon as the managed giving page is accessed, you can include them in the URL you post on your church’s website. For details, see the final tip in this section of our Online Giving help article.
If your church has multiple campuses, you can also configure custom shells for the managed giving pages of each campus. This also is done by means of the URL you post on your website. Click here for details.

TouchPoint Software, an online church management system (ChMS), today announced its live integration with OnlineGiving.org. As part of the integration, any church currently using TouchPoint can utilize OnlineGiving.org to process payments such as donations, recurring giving, event registrations, and more.
The integration provides churches that are using or considering TouchPoint Software as their ChMS with an additional option for processing payments. OnlineGiving.org offers a robust suite of digital giving tools, including text marketing, single sign-on giving, chatbot giving, and more. Church members who give via OnlineGiving.org will have their donation data pushed directly to their contact record in TouchPoint. OnlineGiving.org offers 12 different ways for church members to give to their church—all of which are reflected on their contact record in TouchPoint.
The integration with TouchPoint came about when Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, Tenn., wanted to use OnlineGiving.org’s platform of donation tools. TouchPoint’s open API allowed the development team at OnlineGiving.org to write a bi-directional integration between the two software platforms. “When we discovered the church was using TouchPoint, we were elated,” says Stephen Ballard, co-founder of OnlineGiving.org. “The integration with TouchPoint is powerful for ministry, and it allows us to innovate as we partner with other churches in the future.”
“We’re excited about this partnership because it expands the options churches have when it comes to online giving,” says Ross Miller, president of TouchPoint Software. “Our goal at TouchPoint has always been to provide churches with tools that help them know their members and grow fully devoted followers of Christ. OnlineGiving.org helps church members give back and resource the mission of the church via channels that are most convenient for them.”
Churches that use OnlineGiving.org’s platform will be able to offer their members 12 different ways of giving that all integrate seamlessly with TouchPoint Software. Options include digital giving forms, text message giving, swiped kiosk giving, and custom giving pages for special offerings. Churches’ giving pages can be configured to match their brand experience, ensuring a consistent giving experience across all channels.
Open-source church management systems like TouchPoint offer churches a level of flexibility that is missing from most other providers. Churches using TouchPoint that want to integrate with other best-of-breed software providers can do so without needing to go through administrative hurdles. The ability to write custom integrations serves the church well by giving them the optimal infrastructure for meeting their ministry needs.
“The goals at TouchPoint and OnlineGiving.org are the same,” says Miller. “We want to support churches with tools that allow them to serve their members and communities more effectively. We’re grateful to the team at OnlineGiving.org for opening up new pathways for generosity.”
OnlineGiving.org is now available to any church that uses TouchPoint as its church management system.

TouchPoint Software, Inc., an online church management system, today announced its live integration with Txt2Give, an SMS-based giving platform. As part of the integration, any church currently using TouchPoint can leverage Txt2Give’s services to offer its members a texting donation option.
A number of churches and other nonprofit organizations have turned to SMS-based giving as a way to make it even easier for constituents to donate. With the integration between TouchPoint and Txt2Give live, church members who give via text will have their donation data pushed directly to their contact record in TouchPoint.
“We’re excited about this partnership because the integration creates an additional channel through which people can donate to their church,” said Ross Miller, President of TouchPoint Software. “Many church leaders are concerned about cultivating generosity in younger generations, and this technology makes it extremely convenient for congregants of any age to help resource the mission of the church.”
“A lot of churchgoers — especially younger ones — don’t carry cash or checks with them. That makes it less likely they’ll contribute to an offering plate or box,” said Chad Boyd, founder of Txt2Give. “But people almost always have their phone with them.”
Boyd added that some of the churches already using the technology have seen a 25-30% lift in overall giving.
Text-based giving removes much of the friction that has traditionally hindered mobile giving. For example, many donors become frustrated with the user experience of forms hosted in a mobile web browser. With Txt2Give, the only time a donor encounters a mobile browser page is during the initial gift. After linking his or her device and payment information via a mobile-friendly form, any future donations take place solely within the phone’s messaging environment.
Individuals who are concerned about security will also be assured to know their credit card data is securely handled according to stringent PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards and is never directly stored with Txt2Give or TouchPoint.
“For churches looking to increase generosity from their congregants, the integration between TouchPoint and Txt2Give provides a really compelling case for offering members an SMS-based option,” said Miller. “As mobile technology plays a more prominent role in the church, we look forward to providing churches with more ways to leverage these tools for the Kingdom.”

Yes, that’s right. We have updated the one-page giving with some cool new features.
- Your list of funds available for online giving will display in a drop-down list (see + Additional Fund in the image below).
- You can still specify one fund to display as the primary fund that displays above the link for the drop-down list.
Even when logged on, you will still use the one-page form with your payment information at the bottom of the page.
No Drop-Down List of Funds
If you prefer to have one-page giving without displaying the drop-down list of other Funds available for online giving, no problem! Just add the following Extra Value to your One-Page Giving organization – DisableFundsDropdown as a Code type with the value as true. With that added, only one fund will display when you select the link for One-Page Giving. Just be sure you have entered the Fund ID on the Fee tab of the Org.
