Mobile App Directories are soon going to have a completely new look and feel! In preparation for this update, this evening we are releasing some custom privacy setting options that your churchgoers may elect to have in place in advance of the rollout of our new mobile directories. Each person can access their own and their families' privacy settings. There is a new role named ManagePrivacy that gives access to see other people's settings and to modify them on an Involvement. Anyone with the Admin role also has full access to privacy settings.
The People Page
By navigating to their Personal Tab > Privacy Settings (new option found just to the left of the Edit button), this is where the churchgoer will indicate their default privacy preferences. These will be used on all Involvements unless specifically overridden by the privacy preferences on that particular Involvement. We have also relocated the Do Not Contact options (Call/Mail/Visit/Publish Phones) to this Default Privacy Settings box as well.
The Involvement's Member Dialog Box contains a new Privacy tab for overriding the default privacy settings (set on the People page). The churchgoer will be able to manage his/her own individual Involvement preferences from the mobile app, which will update the items in this box. Alternatively, a staff member is able to individually select which options conceal/reveal based on the churchgoer's preferences.
Also on the Involvement, you will find a new Directory subtab under the Settings tab. This allows you to indicate by Involvement whether or not to make available a directory. If available, you may further customize the level of visibility for leaders versus members.
Lastly, once the new mobile directories roll out, your church may want to hide the Blue Toolbar Directories. You may do so with the Administrative Setting "HideBlueToolbarDirectories," found under Administration > Setup > Settings > System > Administration.
